mothers day

This blog post isnt about my poor husband, who gets embarrassed quite often on my blog. This is about my dear mother, in honor of mothers day.

Last night I called her at around 10:30 her time, which apparently is way too late to be calling. Being the wonderful mother that she is, she answered the phone even though she was obviously  asleep. The conversation went a little something like this...

mom: "Hullo??...."
me: "Hey Mom, sorry were you asleep? I was just calling to talk."
mom: "Yeah... I'm sleeping."
me: "Okay sorry Mom, go back to sleep ill just talk to you tomorrow."
mom: "Okay baby... I love you. Take your vitamins..."
me: "Okay Mom, I will. Love you, bye!"

Even in her sleep, she cant help but admonish me for not taking my vitamins. You can't coach that.

Best. Mom. Ever.

Jorts

Me- (quietly getting ready in the moring)
B- *moans and rolls over* "Jorts..."
Me- "Jorts?"
B- "Yeah... Jorts."
Me-"Oh cool... do you like them?"
B- "Yeah, they are awesome because they are jeans and shorts"
Me- "Yeah..."
B- "I just love jorts..."

eddie murphy...

b: " I will go anywhere with you..."
me: "You will go anywhere with me?"
b: "Eddie Murphy?"
me: "You will go anywhere with Eddie Murphy???"
b: "yeah, I will go anywhere with you."
me: ......

(about 5 seconds later)

b: "I have some strawberry yogurt in the fridge.."

when I recounted this conversation to my sweetie in the morning his response was "I do have strawberry yogurt in the fridge."

clearly he was un-phased by the rest of it.

taking sides

Earlier in the day I was accused of taking up too much of the bed, aka more than my allotted 1/4. According to B I get 1/4 due to size ratio... Anyways, I told him that, this was outrageous because he takes up ALL of the bed anyways. He denied the accusation and said one day he would take a picture as evidence.

I got the picture first.

Gold Rush

So over christmas break we watched a lot of Discover Channel's show Gold Rush Alaska...

It's my dad, and subsequently, b's new favorite show. 

Heaven forbid he should watch Monte Carlo with me.

Anyways... 

His sleep talking that night went as follows... 

B: "I wanna know where the Gold is at..." 

me: "Ill help you find it"

B: "NO! I gotta dig it up..."

me: "Okay I will help you dig it up"

B: "Okay... Thanks."


dont worry guys I know where the golds at, and Im gunna take a back-hoe and uproot that tree to get it!
